The TEAS V is the Test of Essential Academic Skills, which evaluates students’ general knowledge of math, science, reading, and English. All applicants must take the TEAS V, Form C, and submit their Individual Performance Profile (page 1) with their application materials. The minimum scores considered for the TEAS V exam are:
Reading 81%
Math 76.7%
Science 70.8%
English 73.3%
Composite 73.3%
If a student does not achieve these scores or higher on his/her first attempt, the TEAS V, Form D, must be taken for the second attempt. A student may not repeat TEAS V, Form C or Form D. Confirm with the testing site they administer the TEAS V – Form C (first attempt) and Form D (second attempt). For 2013 admission into the St. David’s School of Nursing at Texas State, the TEAS V exam may be taken a total of two times between January 13, 2012 and 5 PM, January 11, 2013.
