TEAS V: Pre-Nursing Assessment

The TEAS V is the Test of Essential Academic Skills, which evaluates an applicant’s general knowledge of math, science, reading, and English. All applicants must take the TEAS V Form C, D or E. Submit the Individual Performance Profile (page 1) with the application materials.

Scores

The minimum scores are:

  • Reading 81.0%
  • Math 76.7%
  • Science 70.8%
  • English 73.3%
  • Composite 73.3%

Please see Admissions Profile for the TEAS V scores of students who were accepted to the St. David’s School of Nursing.

If an applicant does not achieve these scores on the first attempt, the TEAS V may be taken a second time. The reading (81%) and remaining recommended minimum scores must all be achieved on the same test attempt. Combining scores from attempt one and two will not be considered.

An applicant may not repeat the same test form on their second attempt. For example, if Form C was taken the first time, only D or E may be taken on the second attempt. Confirm with the testing site the forms that are administered. Note: PSI only offers Form E. For 2014 admission to the St. David’s School of Nursing, the TEAS V exam may be taken a total of two times between January 14, 2013 and January 15, 2014.
