Dr. Carrie Johnson, Clinical Associate Professor and FNP Program Coordinator
Dr. Carrie Johnson received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1995, Master’s of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 1999 and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2009. Dr. Johnson is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years practice experience working primarily in the rural and medically underserved communities. Her teaching and research endeavors focus on the areas of access to care and translational science to improve health care outcomes. In 2009 she was awarded the Harris County Medical Society Auxiliary Clinical Excellence Award.
