Dr. Virginia Tufano received her Ed.D. from College of Saint Mary with a Focus in Health Professions, MSN from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and a BSN from the University of the Incarnate Word. Dr. Tufano has taught in both, undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, over the past 15 years. Her research interests span the areas of cultural competence in nursing, teaching cultural and spiritual competence in nursing education, promoting success in the nursing profession for minority students, and defining personal characteristics and circumstances that precipitate an interest in nurses to teach in nursing education.
